I would like to thank all those who attended PubForum Nice this time.
It was a big pleasure and a lot of fun since this time I was an attendee myself
and not the PubForum leader. Special thanks to our Sponsors, Presenters and of course the
attendees themselves!

The venue Place - Novotel Hotel near Nice Airport

This time PubForum was very different from all the PubForums before, not only because we have had almost 100 people but because some new features were added. Here I hold the Sony PSP which was later on used as a Prize on the Best PubForum Pictures Set contest - which Ton de Vreede won.
A Big thanks to our other Photographers - Benny CALLEWAERT and Daniel Schoppmann!

After the Welcome Note we have had PubForum Olympics - where attendees were asked to
split in 9 people teams and create the PERFECT Reboot script for TS and Citrix environment.
The winners got 2 Bottles of fine wine.

The PubForum Olympics...

The Winners Group Team - OUTSTANDING Team work, SuperB documentation and a very good script!

"Markus Hagenkötter, Oliver Lomberg, Carsten Dreyer" Team - Second Place. Very good script as well!

Intertech Ireland - they took the third place in the Olympics - best
technically seen script, with some lack of documentation though.

well deserved Lunch sponsored by triCerat

The Sessions ...

Dr. Bernhard Tritsch along Brian Madden doing the First Keynote on
Some of the cool features - Longhorn Terminal Services

Simon Frost SE from Citrix doing the cool 64bit session
"Citrix Metaframe ala 64 Bit - What does it give us?"
Blue screen obviously :-)

According to a good PubForum tradition there was no Wireless / Internet Connection
the First day (and probably the second day too ). So I always have to make a very concerned face
and pretend I will fix it soon. I think here I was reading CNN news or something and trying
to make the wireless network to work.
Wi-Fi access point in front of me. Thanks to Fabrice Cornet and Stefan Vermeulen with help of who
attendees finally got SO MUCH wanted Internet access. A real geek can live without food,
but not without Internet Access...

Here Roger Jansson from triCerat explains the new features of Simplify Suite v.5 and sometimes
have had to look at his own slides to read the long list of cool features this software has.
Every PubForum 2005 Nice attendee got a free Simplify Suite v.5 license. Thanks very much to triCerat
for that - triCerat continue to support PubForum for a long time! Thanks very much guys!

Another very good friend of PubForum is Benny Tritsch - here as a VamBeer :-)
He always have a good session to deliver and this time he got a lot of freebies along!
His session was "Terminal Services Internals"

First Evening Party time

I think this was the moment when I first time felt as a PubForum attendee...
And the attendees felt the "season opening"...

Here some photos without comments...

Some of Jack Daniels & Martini & JB second day in a row... That was the last day I could smile... :)

Fine women passing by - no reaction from geeks. I assume they both were already drunk :-)
Btw. thanks for coming to PF Brian!

DAY 2...

Barbara O'Grady open the day and the Citrix Bootcamp along...

In between we celebrated the PF Olympics winners...

Winners Group Team Leader Jack Chote from Epson

Intertech Ireland Team Leader Aidan McCarthy from Rabobank Ireland

Smart Access Central

Smart Access Central

Benny Callewaert - one of our Top Photographers

Teknica Inc & two PubForum grandfathers - Stefan Vermeulen and Thomas Koetzing

Chip PC delivered superb practical session

there were like 11 Sessions that day. Why none of the photographers took more
Pictures of presenters I don't know :-)

So here is the Networking part then ...

Intertech Ireland people - there were 9 of them.
Unanimously selected as "The best team visited PubForum ever before"!

Where is before and where is after beer? :)

Now try here ...

One uses Citrix Metaframe and the other Terminal Services - who is better prepared?

New gadget - weeee... :-)

"Son on PubForum", didn't he grew up compared the last PubForum?
Mr. Russ Cockburn Jr.:-)

Project IRIS

What I'm doing here ... :-)

Almost a family :-)

Citrix Support on top of the problem
